Well it has been a while since we last published a post. Sorry for the gap. Since our last one Aaron's dad, Ed Paul, past away. It has been rough needless to say but we appreciate all the kind words of sympathy and for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers.
We return to our assignment in Liberia December 31st. We will update the site with more pictures of how the project is progressing. Until then......

Hello! How is everyone? We are doing okay. We are currently at home in Georgia. we came home in late September for Aaron's dad. He isn't doing real well and wanted us to be home before he got worse. He isn't doing any better but we are glad to be here with him and family. We hope to get back to our assignment a soon as we can and will keep you updated as to when we will be back. Below is a big family picture of Aaron's side and a recent picture of us. We miss you all and may Jehovah be with you in all your endeavors.

The Brothers and Aaron are constructing a tent to work under for days like these.........

We went to morning worship and it was a light rain. When we came out it was like this. Needless to say we swam home :)
These are the trenches the are about 3 feet deep filled with water. In the month of June we got over a meter in rain.

Here is Aaron heading to work.....or to play in the rain.

This picture is right outside our bedroom window. The water got higher than this after the picture was taken but Aaron and a few Brothers had to bust a hole in the wall for the water to drain because the septis tanks are down there. You can see the tops of them in the pictures. Aaron said that when they got over there, there where huge cock roaches on the wall stuggling to stay above the water. How gross!

When the guys after work still have energy they play soccer. They play on the "volley ball" court, we currently don't have a net so its not a big deal.
When they kick it a little to hard this is where it goes.........

This is nemo ( called this beacause he was the last to survive but has since died)

This is a lizard that we see daily. We find them running around, climbing walls, and doing push ups. Their favorite past time is to bask in the sun. (they really do push ups, I'm working on getting it on video.)

The skys here are beautiful.......there doesn't seem to be much polution so the contrast of the blue and white of the clouds is so vivid.

Even with all the rain the bothers move along in construction. Here below is Aaron and some brothers pouring the footings for the new residence.

Here is the septic tank walls. They actually have been poured and the top as well. I will put the pictures up on the next update.

Here a few brothers are pouring blinding where they dug the footings. THey do this so they won't loose the compaction when it rains.

This is the form of the trickle filter. I'm not sure how it will connect to the over all system but when I figure it out I'll let you know. Looks cool, doesn't it?

Sorry about the order the pictures went up. This is the brothers pouring the floor on the septic tank. At the top of the picture you see two brothers who would shovel the concrete down the slide into buckets that the bros passed on to the right spot. Lots of work and not to mention sstinky work clothes!

Well hello again! Glad you could visit.....all is going well. We are getting in the groove of things. We have moved into our new room. It is nice. It has three windows and a big bathroom. I am currently working on curtains and Aaron is working on some furniture. Once it is together we will put pictures on here for you.

Field service here is awesome. Aaron and I both have 3 studies set up for next weekend. When we go out and preach you can talk to someone and someone else will come up and listen in and participate. At every door they offer a seat and shake your hand but its not a normal hand shake.....they shake your hand and then do a little snap thing. Its so funny.

Well as far as work goes my assignment is laundry. It is going good now but it started out rough. My second day I broke the handle on the washing machine. To this day we are waiting on the parts to fix it. Between the water and not having enough pressure and not having the one washing machine it goes kinda slow.

This a weaver bird. These birds go and get stands of grass and weave it to make a nest. These birds have made nests all over this tree.

We had our CO visit this week. It was nice the talk that he gave thursday night about letting our advancement be made manifest he used a nice illustration about what kind of publisher we don't want to be. He called it a wheel-barrow publisher. he explained it that if we always have to have someone push us to the meetings or out in service then we will never progress because a wheel-barrow doesn't move unless someone is behind it. Also intially in the truth others will help you "carry your load" but when we mature we have to carry our own load. Aaron and I both really enjoyed that illustration and thought you might like it to. We also went out in service Saturday. It was awesome. At every home they give you a seat and you have to take it even if your only there for a few minutes. And you rarely talk to just one person, if there are other near by they come over and listen to what you have to say. And the kids here are not shy and they ask questions and listen to what you have to say about the Bible. Its cute when I walk down the street the kids will yell out white woman but in the Liberian English it sounds like it would if you were holding your tongue and saying it. We look forward to more experience in the ministry here.
We also went to the beach. They say they try to go once a month. It was fun. The waves were big and the current was strong. A sister who is here from Kentucky and I went body boarding and got a few good waves. Aaron Played scoccer with the rest of the group. It was nice getting to know a few of the brothers. They are all very nice and seem easy to get along with. We are still going through orientation. Maybe today I will find out what I will be doing. Aaron has started to build a few things for our room. We hope to move into it by Wednesday.

This man came up and talked to a few of us, he says hes the life guard there at the beach. Guess how old he is?.....................he's 66. Ican't do that!

Aaron there in the fore with the ball hoping for a goal........
